Mid 2022 USA Tour
Not proceeding due to the ongoing impact of COVID-19
For the third year in a row the annual Victorian Kookaburras Baseball Tour has based on an assessment of the ongoing local and global COVID-19 situation resolved at this time not to proceed with the 8th annual program and tour in 2021/2022.
If and when it is clear international travel has resumed in a safe and affordable way and conditions have returned which will enable a pre tour program and international tour to proceed safely a further risk assessment of scheduling a tour will be undertaken.
Victorian Kookaburras Baseball Tours takes this opportunity to thank the over 150 playing alumni, families, coaches, host families and our many tour partners across the USA and supporters who helped us deliver upon our tour mission between 2015 and 2020 to assist our team members reach their full potential as baseball players and as leaders on and off the diamond.

7th Annual 2021 Victorian Kookaburras Baseball Tours pre tour skills & fitness program and mid 2021 USA Tour
Cancelled due to the ongoing impact of COVID-19
For the second year in a row the annual Victorian Kookaburras Baseball Tour has based on an assessment of the ongoing local and global COVID-19 situation resolved not to proceed with what would have been the 7th annual program and tour in 2021.
This decision has been taken after careful consideration and is done so with much regret.
With international travel to the USA very unlikely for the remainder of 2021, travel insurance not covering COVID-19 related costs and the vaccine yet to take effect globally.
It is simply not safe nor possible to proceed with a tour in 2021.
Even if international travel recommences by the middle of 2022, it is not clear if insurance and sanctioning could be secured to enable planning and a full risk assessment and risk mitigation of tour arrangements to proceed.
After two years of not touring and the likely global situation by 2022 it is the view of the Victorian Kookaburras that it is very unlikely the Victorian Kookaburras will tour again in the future, we have however stopped short of winding up the Victorian Kookaburras at this time.
With the health and safety of our players, coaches, and families our priority a final decision on a 2022 tour and the future of the Victorian Kookaburras will be made no later than September 2021 by which stage it is hoped the global situation will have improved to enable a full assessment if and how a tour could proceed in the new COVID-19 normal.

6th Annual Victorian Kookaburras Baseball Tour
Cancelled due to COVID-19
The Victorian Kookaburras continued to closely monitor the evolving situation
in relation to COVID-19.
With the Health and Safety of the players, coaches and traveling families
the Victorian Kookaburras priority, a decision was taken in March 2020 to
cancel the 2020 Victoria Kookaburras Tour.
Postponement or modification of the schedule was not an option
given the increasing uncertainty of events the tour was
scheduled to attend while in the USA, increasing international travel restrictions
and the need to make a decision before further expenditure was required.
Increasing restrictions on the number of persons able to gather also placed a suspension on all baseball activities in Victoria meaning pre tour training was unable to continue.
We appreciate your support and understanding at this unprecedented time.

Try Outs were held in September 2018 for 16U and 14U teams.
Teams were selected in October 2018.
Skills and Fitness Training commenced November 2018.
